Evaluates dental health programs and dental services provided. Evaluates patient care required or administered, dental operational conditions and equipment in use. Functions as a consultant to the facility staff physician. Monitors need for dental supplies and equipment. Job Requirements The successful candidate must possess a license to practice as a registered dentist in the state of Virginia, graduate from an accredited school of dental medicine; maintain a current DPS and DEA Certificate of Registration. Submit copies of professional licenses and proof of professional liability insurance coverage at the time of hire. Assume sole responsibility for professional liability insurance. Experience in a correctional setting preferred. Excellent communication skills. Must be flexible, and empathetic to the needs of staff and inmates.
