Description:
We seek a flexible and dependable Dental Assistant for our large and busy practice. The experienced candidate must be multi-task oriented, caring, and enthusiastic about helping people while anticipating needs of the doctor or hygienist. This position is full-time and offers a 5-day work week, with paid time off, partially paid health insurance or a medical savings expense account, 401K, and competitive salary. • Excellent attendance and punctuality track record.
• Sterilizes and disinfects instruments and equipment.
• Prepares treatment rooms, instruments and tray setups for dental procedures.
• Greets, escorts and prepares patients for treatment.
• Assists the dentist and/or hygienist during examinations, cleanings and/or treatment procedures.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks in compliance with our office policies and procedures, safety, OSHA/MIOSHA and MSDS guidelines.
• Records medical and dental histories and vital signs of patient.
• Provides postoperative instructions prescribed by Dentist.
• Records treatment information in patient records.
• In-office bleaching treatment.
• Make temporaries.
• Take impressions.
• Actively participates in the achievement of patient satisfaction and office production goals by working efficiently and providing a high level of patient service.
• Present Treament Plans and discuss insurance benefits as they apply to the recommended treatment.
• Verify dental benefits on-line.
• Schedule appointments.

Our practice is open Mon - Thu 7:30AM - 8 PM, Fri 8:15 AM - 5:30 PM & Sat 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM PM. The sucessful candidate will usually work a six-seven hour shift on Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur and rotate Fri/Sat's. Must be able work morning or afternoon shift.

Requirements
Requires at least one year of clinical dental experience in a multi-doctor setting. Computer skills a must and will be tested. Preference will be given to those with greater amount of experience. Wage will commensurate with experience.

Must be able to endure up to six (6) consecutive hours of standing and walking, smiling, good humor and ability to detach from personal cell phone during work hours.
