Qualified candidate shall use knowledge and clinical skills to provide preventive, educational, and therapeutic services to periodontal patients in a military treatment facility. The periodontist shall be required to identify, treat, and/or prevent oral disease such as gingivitis, periodontitis, and oral cancer. The periodontist shall also be able to recognize, clinically manage and arrange for referral of patients for medical treatment. The periodontist will perform a minimum 8 hours of patient treatment per month, in accordance with Statement of Work (SOW). The periodontist shall have a diploma from a dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of The American Dental Association. The periodontist must also have completed an ADA accredited periodontal residency and must possess a valid, unrestricted dental license from any state within the US. Periodontist shall understand English and be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Candidate must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database as an Independent Contractor (www.ccr.gov).
