The company was founded on the premise that by partnering closely with quality-minded dentists, we could, together, create dental practices that would far exceed what most dentists could ever create on their own. Our business is based on empowering others through LEADERSHIP. We love dentistry, and it shows in our operations and quality patient care. Understanding that patients gravitate towards dentists committed to their local community, each of our practices has a unique name such as, Preston Hollow Dental Care, Riverchase Dental Care and boasts full-time hygienists plus state of the art facilities and equipment. Many offices offer digital x-ray and intra oral cameras. We prefer some private practice experience. Additionally, Doctors participate in select Preferred Provider Organizations, but won't be participating in government-sponsored or managed care programs. Most of our patients are full fee. Our Dentists are among the top paid Dentists in the Southwest. We pride ourselves in offering a generous benefits package that includes a competitive salary plus commission, 401k Plan, a Health Plan that includes four options to meet your family's and your health care needs plus generous life insurance coverage. Company:Dental One Contact name: Rich Nicely Address: Salary: Date needed or available: Days available: Employment status: Phone number: 972-755-0890 Fax number: E-mail: Website: Additional personal/company information: Almost 10 years ago, we came to the realization that far too many dentists were unfulfilled, over-stressed, burned out, and far from realizing the financial rewards or quality of life that we knew were possible. Our experience was confirmed by a 1996 ADA survey showing that some 46% of dentists regretted their decision to enter the profession, and would do something different with their lives if they could do it over again. Our dental clients confirmed that they really didn’t enjoy the administrative and management issues that came along with private practice. However, if given the option, and the ability to maintain their income, the vast majority said they would much rather have someone else take over those obligations. They wanted to focus on their patients and their clinical dentistry without all the other distractions. So Dental One was originally conceived to fill that need. The concept was simple and straightforward—do whatever it takes to get the management pressures off the doctors and let them do what they do best. Unlike many other practice management firms, Dental One was not formed as a Wall Street-driven “roll-up,” or some half-baked “get rich quick scheme” that over-promised and under-delivered. Dental One has always been about serving the needs of our affiliated dentists; about helping them improve their incomes while also improving their quality of life. Along the way, we’ve had some great successes. Of course, we’ve had some challenges as well. Imagine purchasing close to 100 diverse and distinguished dental practices (many of which were consolidated and merged together to form small groups) and trying to integrate them into some sort of a unified and cohesive organization. They say it’s impossible to get two dentists to agree on something. Try getting a hundred of them to agree on anything! It wasn’t easy, but we did it. Yes indeed, we’ve come across a lot of interesting things over the years. You name it—insurance fraud, embezzlement, clinical malpractice, drug addiction, greed, disloyalty, indifference, deception, lack of accountability, lack of ethics, lack of systems, selfishness, incompetency, etc., etc. There is very little that any dentist can experience that we haven’t dealt with several times over. But the good news is that we’ve succeeded in purging the practices we acquired of all such foolishness, and today our practices run smoothly, with happy and motivated employees who adhere to high standards for ethics, performance, and accountability. Out of that refiner’s fire, we also discovered and perfected some of the most powerful business and professional strategies ever conceived for the dental industry. Today, our practices rank in the top 1% nationally in terms of revenues, productivity, and profitability. As an example, our exclusive new clinical training program, which we pioneered and introduced in 2001, has increased our average participating doctor’s take home pay by an astonishing 46%! Do the math on that figure, and you’ll get a sense of the huge impact that single program has had. Take a doctor who was earning $175,000 before entering the program. Just 2-3 years later he or she is making $256,000—with far less stress, and far greater professional satisfaction. Unlike any other practice management consulting firm in the country, we live and breathe the day-to-day challenges of owning and operating private, fee-for-service dental practices. We walk our talk. We do the very things we teach our clients. We know what really works and what doesn’t. And believe it or not, we love what we do! We thrive on helping our people and practices develop and blossom into everything they can be. One day last summer, we sat down to take stock of what we had accomplished and where we were going as a company. We came to the hard realization that there would never be enough capital available for us to acquire and assimilate even a small fraction of the practices that needed what we had to offer. It was time to come up with some other means of taking these powerful, life-changing tools to the dental profession. Thus, our Professional Services division was born. It was time to tell our story. After all, nobody outside of Dental One really knew what we had here. Nobody knew much about us, or what we have accomplished. We realized then that we were the best kept secret in dentistry. We also knew we had to let the secret out. |
