Description:
Beach Dental Group is looking for a hygienist to work part time (2 days/week) in our state of the art practice. Office equipped with digital x-rays and digital charting (chart less office).

Hygienist needs to be knowledgeable and skilled in irrigation and Arestin. Must also be able to anesthetize.

Pay is a daily guarantee + % of production.

The Dental Hygienist is responsible for:

' In accordance with those set forth in the Dental Auxiliaries list.
' Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by striving to keep our patients focused on optimal treatment while attending to their individual concerns.
' Maintain a clean, sterile and cheerful environment where our patients feel comfortable, prepare them for treatment, and provide efficient, quality dental treatment.
' Educate and counsel patients on proper oral hygiene and nutrition.
' Assist in the prevention and control of dental caries (decay) and gum disease.
' Obtain dental history and/or records from patient (review patient health history & care slips). Ensure that the health history is updated for all returning patients.
' Clean each operatory in accordance with the American Dental Association guidelines, as the patient has exited the room. Keep in mind the 'view from the chair.'
' Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
' Associate, Bachelor or Master degree in dental hygiene from an accredited college or technical school, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
' Registered Dental Hygienist license in California.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
' Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as business periodicals, professionals journals, technical procedure manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and governmental regulations. Ability to communicate effectively and present information, both verbally and in writing, to patients and co-workers. Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence.
' Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form.
' Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
' Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, decimals and percentages. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages.
' Ability to apply logical thinking to a wide range of practical problems. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
