Dentist – Periodontist
Greater Los Angeles HealthCare System (GLA) seeks preferably a board certified Periodontist or at minimum, a board eligible Periodontist for a .10 FTEE ( 8 hours a pay period) position. The Periodontist will be responsible for clinical supervision of residents, clinical treatment of patients and leadership in teaching. The outpatient population includes geriatric, psychiatric, medically and physically compromised patients. Incumbent must be skilled in all phases of periodontics and adept at treating the vast types of patients. Incumbent must have experience in supervising and instructing residents, students and trainees. Incumbent must possess both computer and administrative skills. Incumbent must have good work ethics and be a team player . The preferred applicant should have a history of teaching and scholarly activity and should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Candidate must have a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery or Dental Medicine from a school accredited by the American Dental Council on Dental Education and hold a current, full, active and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a state, territory or commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia and have completed three postgraduate years in an ADA accredited Periodontal Residency Program.

Note: Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualification (particularly positions with a positive education requirement). Therefore, applicants must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
