Key Requirements: * U.S. Citizen Major Duties: Works in the field of general dentistry including prevention, diagnosis, and treatment and/or referral of patients with disease, injuries, and deformities of the teeth, the jaws, and other structures and tissues associated with the oral cavity and masticatory system. Provides general dental treatment for problems of greater-than-usual difficulty, understanding advanced treatment options, as well as provide specialty treatment within respective specialties. Interact with dental specialists and physicians to achieve complex treatment plans through a combination of personal practice, consultations, and referrals. Mentor/train less experienced general dentists and dental ancillaries in the full range of general dentistry. NOTE: This position is an inclement weather essential position. Employee will be required to provide on-call emergency dental treatment during non-duty work hours on a scheduled rotating basis. Employee must be a graduate of an Advanced Education Program in General Dentistry - 2 year program accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA) Commission on Dental Accreditation and have three years of clinical experience as a comprehensive dentist and/or training equivalent to at least that of Board eligible for the American Board of General Dentistry. Employee must be currently certified to administer Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), possess the skill and physical ability to administer CPR, and must maintain CPR certification while employed.
