General Practice Dentistry (GPR/AEGD residency required)

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA has an opening for a General Dentist to join the faculty of its hospital-based special care dental program. Established in 1980, Carilion Dental Care is located on the campus of an 835-bed academic/tertiary medical center. Services were expanded in 2001 to include pediatric dental care for children who have very little or no access to dental care. Potential exists for academic affiliation through the new Carilion Virginia Tech School of Medicine (2010) and participation in research projects.

Carilion Dental Care is a service provided by Carilion Clinic, the largest, not-for-profit integrated health system in Southwest Virginia, with 7 hospitals, 80+ practice sites and 15 GME programs affiliated with University of Virginia and Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Minimum Requirements:

* DDS/DMD degree from accredited dental school
* Completion of an accredited GPR or AEGD Residency Program
* Interest in hospital-based pediatric practice
* Virginia dental boards
* Unencumbered dental license and DEA
